Ignition Coil Resistance

  1. Unplug ignition coil primary wire connector. Remove secondary wire from ignition coil. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between coil primary terminals No. 1 and No. 2. See Figure .
  2. Check secondary resistance between coil (wire) secondary terminal and primary ignition terminal No. 3. Replace coil if readings are not within specifications. See IGNITION COIL RESISTANCE table.
