Mechanical Advance

Remove distributor cap and turn rotor clockwise. Release rotor and observe movement. Rotation should be smooth and quick with complete return to full rest position. If mechanical advance performance is incorrect, check distributor weights, springs and "E" clips for binding. Replace as necessary.
