Ignition Coil Resistance

  1. Remove protective coil cap and disconnect secondary wire from coil. Remove primary wires from ignition coil. Using ohmmeter, check resistance between primary terminals of coil.
  2. Check secondary resistance between coil secondary terminal and primary positive terminal. Replace coil if readings are not within specifications. See IGNITION COIL RESISTANCE table.
