Fuel Pressure

Release fuel pressure. See FUEL PRESSURE RELEASE under FUEL SYSTEM. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air cleaner assembly. Remove fuel inlet hose from throttle body and install Fuel Pressure Gauge (J-34730-1) with Adapter (J-34730-75). See Fig 1 .
Install negative battery cable. Check fuel pressure. See FUEL PUMP PERFORMANCE table. For complete Fuel System Pressure Test Procedure See DIAGNOSTIC CHART A - 7. Release fuel pressure and remove fuel pressure gauge.
