Ignition switch supplies voltage to ignitor located in right rear corner of engine compartment, on firewall. Crank angle sensor provides a reference signal to ECM and ignitor. ECM uses this reference signal to determine when to operate ignitor for ignition coil operation.

1. An open or defective fuse may cause a no-start condition.
2. This checks for defective spark plug wires.
3. This checks for defective fuel injectors.
4. This determines if ignition coil is supplying spark to the distributor.
5. This checks resistance between ignition coil terminals.
