Code 41, Throttle Switch Circuit: Notes
ECM supplies B+ to a throttle switch on throttle body. When engine is idling, ECM senses a low signal voltage. With throttle slightly open, ECM will sense a high signal voltage. At wide open throttle, signal voltage is low. Code 41 is set if ECM senses a low or high voltage signal all the time.
NOTE:
Test numbers refer to test numbers on diagnostic chart.
- ECM supplies battery voltage to the throttle switch. Poor connection or a ground circuit will indicate a low signal.
- Checks for a misadjusted throttle switch.
