Code 11, Shorted Wheel Speed Sensor

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect speed sensor connector, and measure resistance across sensor terminals. If resistance is less than 1000 ohms, replace speed sensor.
  2. If resistance is 1000-2000 ohms, disconnect EBCM connector. Measure resistance between EBCM terminal No. 16 and ground. See Figure . Repair short to ground in Orange wire if resistance is less than 20,000 ohms.
  3. If resistance is greater than 20,000 ohms, measure resistance between RWAL EBCM terminals No. 16 and 17. If resistance is greater than 20,000 ohms, replace RWAL EBCM. If resistance is less than 20,000 ohms, repair short between Orange and White wires in speed sensor harness.
