Wheel Speed Sensor

The 2-wire rear wheel speed sensor is mounted in the rear differential carrier. Sensor transmits wheel speed information to the RWAL EBCM. This low AC voltage signal is generated through magnetic induction when a toothed exciter ring inside the differential passes the stationary magnetic coil of the sensor. This voltage signal increases in both frequency and amplitude as rear wheel speed increases.
