Intermittent Failures

Intermittent failures may cause Malfunction Indicator Light (MIL) to flicker or glow and go out after intermittent fault goes away. However, corresponding fault code will be retained in ECM memory. If fault does not reoccur within a certain time frame, related fault code will be erased from ECM memory. Intermittent failures may be caused by sensor, connector or wiring related problems. See INTERMITTENTS in TESTS W/O CODES article in this section.
