Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor
- A malfunction in the intake air temperature sensor circuit will set a related diagnostic trouble code. For testing procedures, see TESTS W/CODES article in this section. An out-of-calibration IAT sensor may not set a diagnostic trouble code. Use following procedure to test sensor calibration.
- Remove intake air temperature sensor. Refer to the INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR LOCATION . Using ohmmeter, measure resistance of intake air temperature sensor at designated temperatures. Replace IAT sensor if resistance is not within specification. See INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR RESISTANCE .
