Starter Relay Test

  1. Relay is located behind left kick panel attached to junction block 1. Remove relay. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between relay terminals No. 1 (White/Black wire) and No. 2 (Black Wire). Ensure continuity is present. If continuity is not present, replace relay.
  2. Check continuity between terminals No. 3 (Black wire) and No. 5 (White wire). Continuity should not be present. If continuity is present, replace relay.
  3. Operate relay by applying 12 volts to terminal No. 2 and grounding terminal No. 1. Check continuity between terminals No. 3 and 5. Ensure continuity is present. If continuity is not present, replace relay.
