Description & Operation
A permanent magnet motor operates each of the power windows. The driver's master switch assembly controls all of the power window motors. Each window switch controls only one of the power window motors. If the window lock switch is pressed, only driver's window may be operated. Passenger's windows cannot be controlled by individual window switches, but can still be controlled from driver's master switch. Press window lock switch again to unlock windows.
AUTO DOWN feature permits driver's window to be fully lowered without holding switch until window has reached the end of its travel. Moving switch all the way back will engage AUTO DOWN feature. Electronic Circuit Breaker (ECB) incorporated in window motor will stop motor at then end of window travel.
With ignition switch in ON position, voltage is applied through GAUGE fuse, audio alarm module, and junction block No. 3 to accessory power relay. Accessory power relay provides voltage to driver's power window switch. Driver's power window master switch (combined with power door lock switch, if equipped) distributes voltage to remaining power window switches and motors.
