Power Steering Pressure Switch

Power steering pressure switch is located on power steering pump. To test power steering pressure switch circuit, see Diagnostic Chart C-1 under DIAGNOSTIC CHARTS in this article.

NOTE: If power steering pressure switch fails to close, or open circuit in wiring exists between ECM and pressure switch, engine may stall when wheels are turned. If power steering pressure switch fails to open or short to ground exists in wiring between ECM and pressure switch, idle quality will be affected.
