Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor
- A malfunction in the intake air temperature sensor circuit will set a related DTC. For testing procedures, see the TESTS W/CODES - 1.0L 3-CYL article. An out-of-calibration IAT sensor may not set a DTC. Use following procedure to test sensor calibration.
- Remove intake air temperature sensor. See INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR LOCATION table. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance of intake air temperature sensor at designated temperatures. Replace IAT sensor if resistance is not within specification. See INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE (IAT) SENSOR RESISTANCE table.
