Right Front Window Does Not Open With Either Right Front Window Switch Depressed

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using test light, backprobe between right front door power window switch connector terminal No. 2 (Blue/White wire) and ground. Depress and hold right front power window switch in left front power window/door lock switch. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, check for open in Blue/White wire between left front power window/door lock switch and right front door power window switch. If Blue/White wire is okay, replace power window/door lock switch.
  2. Using test light, backprobe between right front power window motor connector terminal No. 1 (Red wire) and ground. Depress right front power window switch in left front power window/door lock switch. If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, check for open in Green wire between right front door power window switch and power window motor. If Green wire is okay, replace right front door power window switch.
  3. Turn ignition switch to LOCK position. Disconnect right front power window motor connector. Using test light, probe between right front power window motor switch-side connector terminal No. 2 (Yellow wire) and battery voltage. Ensure both right front window switches are released. If test light does not illuminate, go to next step. If test light illuminates, replace right front power window motor.
  4. Ensure both right front power window switches are released. Using test light, backprobe between right front power window switch connector terminal No. 5 (Green/Red wire) and battery voltage. If test light does not illuminate, check for open in Green/Red wire between left front power window/door lock switch and right front door power window switch. If Green/Red wire is okay, replace left front power window/door lock switch. If test light illuminates, check for open in Yellow wire between right front door power window switch and power window motor. If Yellow wire is okay, replace right front door power window switch.
