Electronic Ignition Timing Advance
Ignition timing is controlled by PCM. PCM receives signals from various sensors indicating engine status. PCM computes appropriate spark timing and signals distributor to change timing. No vacuum or mechanical advance mechanisms are used. If ignition signal is not present at PCM, DTC P1300 can set in PCM memory. For testing procedures, see the TESTS W/CODES article. Ignition timing is not adjustable. To check ignition timing, see IGNITION TIMING in the ADJUSTMENTS article.
