TP Sensor Inspection

Disconnect negative battery cable. Unplug TP sensor connector. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance between terminals of TP sensor connector. See Figure . See THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR RESISTANCE  table. If idle switch check is not within specification, adjust TP sensor installation angle. Replace TP sensor if it cannot be adjusted to specification.
