Diagnostic Trouble Code Identification: Notes

DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE (DTC) IDENTIFICATION (ACCORD)

DTC (1) System Affected
0  Engine Control Module (ECM)
1  Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S)
3  Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) Sensor
4  Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor
6 (2) Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor
7 (2) Throttle Position (TP) Sensor
8  Top Dead Center (TDC) Sensor
9  No. 1 Cylinder Position (CYP) Sensor
10  Intake Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor
12  Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Lift Sensor
13  Barometric Pressure (BARO) Sensor
14  Idle Air Control (IAC) Valve
15  Ignition Output Signal
16  Fuel Injector
17 (2) Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS)
20 (3) Electrical Load Detector (ELD)
21 (4) Variable Valve Timing And Valve Lift Electronic Control VTEC) Solenoid Valve
22 (4) Variable Valve Timing And Valve Lift Electronic Control VTEC) Pressure Switch
30 (3) A/T FI Signal A
31 (3) A/T FI Signal B
41  Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Heater
43  Fuel Supply System
(1) If codes appear other than those listed in table, verify code. If code is not listed, replace ECM.
(2) MIL and D4 indicator light may illuminate simultaneously when DTC 6, 7 or 17 is stored. Diagnose PGM-FI system as necessary, then recheck if D4 indicator light is on. If D4 indicator light is on, repair transmission.
(3) MIL will not illuminate when a malfunction occurs in A/T FI signal or Electrical Load Detector (ELD). MIL will indicate appropriate DTC when Service Check Connector is shorted.
(4) Applies to Valve Lift Electronic Control (VTEC) engine only.
