Power Circuits

  1. Check for battery voltage between PCM power terminal and ground. See POWER & GROUND CIRCUIT TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION  . See Fig 1 . If battery voltage does not exist, check appropriate PCM f use in underhood fuse box. See PCM POWER CIRCUIT FUSE IDENTIFICATION  . If fuse is okay, check for an open in wire between underhood fuse box and appropriate PCM power circuit terminal. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  section.
  2. Turn ignition on. Check for battery voltage between appropriate PCM power circuit terminal and ground. See POWER & GROUND CIRCUIT TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION  . If battery voltage does not exist, check appropriate fuse in underhood fuse box. See PCM POWER CIRCUIT FUSE IDENTIFICATION  . If fuse is okay, check for open in wire between fuse box and appropriate PCM power circuit terminal, and check for defective ignition switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  section.
    POWER & GROUND CIRCUIT TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION

    Application (1) PCM Terminal
    Ground Circuits A9, A10, A22, A23, D11 & D12
    Power Circuits
    Ignition Switch In OFF Position (2) C10
    Ignition Switch In ON Position A11 & A24
    (1) Use illustration for terminal location. See Fig 1 .
    (2) Back-up power supply.

    Application Fuse
    Ignition Switch In OFF Position BACK-UP
    Ignition Switch In ON Position ECU (ECM/PCM)
