DTC P1655: SEFA/SEAF Signal Line Failure

CAUTION: When substituting a known-good PCM, immobilizer code must be rewritten to replacement PCM using Honda PGM tester, or engine will not start.
  1. Perform PCM reset procedure. See PCM RESET PROCEDURE/CLEARING DTCS  . Drive vehicle for several miles at various speeds ensuring transmission upshifts and downshifts several times. If DTC P1655 is indicated, go to next step. If DTC P1655 in not indicated, problem is intermittent, system is okay at this time. Check for poor connections or loose wires between Transmission Control Module (TCM) 22-pin connector "B" and PCM 31-pin connector "C". TCM is located under passenger's footrest, next to PCM. See the WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM 31-pin connector "C". Disconnect TCM 22-pin connector "B". See Figure and Fig 1 . Check for continuity between ground and PCM connector terminal C30 (Green/Blue wire) and/or terminal C31 (Green/Yellow wire). If continuity does not exist, go to next step. If continuity exists, repair short in suspect wire between PCM and TCM.
  3. Check for continuity in Green/Blue wire between PCM connector "C" terminal C30 and TCM connector "B" terminal B18. Check for continuity in Green/Yellow wire between PCM connector "C" terminal C31 and TCM connector "B" terminal B19. If continuity does not exist, repair suspect wire between PCM and TCM. If continuity exists, substitute a known good PCM, then recheck. If symptom or indication goes away, replace original PCM.
