Power Circuits

  1. Check for battery voltage between appropriate PCM connector Voltage Back-Up (VBU) terminal and ground. See POWER & GROUND CIRCUIT TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION  table. If battery voltage does not exist, check appropriate PCM fuse. See PCM POWER CIRCUIT FUSE IDENTIFICATION  table. If fuse is okay, check for an open in wire between fuse and appropriate PCM connector terminal. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
  2. Turn ignition on. Check for battery voltage between appropriate PCM connector Ignition Power (IGP) source terminal and ground. See POWER & GROUND CIRCUIT TERMINAL IDENTIFICATION  table. If battery voltage does not exist, check appropriate fuse. See PCM POWER CIRCUIT FUSE IDENTIFICATION  table. If fuse is okay, check for open in wire between fuse and appropriate PCM connector terminal. Check for defective ignition switch. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
