DTC P0134: A/F Sensor (Sensor 1) Signal Stuck Lean

NOTE:

If the vehicle was out of fuel and the engine stalled before this DTC was stored, refuel and clear the DTC.
Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data and review the general troubleshooting information (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION ).

Check the installation of the A/F sensor (Sensor 1).
Is it loose?
1. YES - Reinstall the A/F sensor (Sensor 1) (see A/F SENSOR REPLACEMENT .
2. NO - Go to step 2.
Reset the ECM with the HDS (see ECM RESET ).
Start the engine. Hold the engine speed at 3,000 rpm without load (in Park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle for 2 minute.
Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC P0134 indicated?
1. YES - Replace the A/F sensor (Sensor 1) (see A/F SENSOR REPLACEMENT .
2. NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the A/F sensor (Sensor 1) and the ECM.
