- Relieve the fuel pressure (see FUEL PRESSURE RELIEVING
).
- Remove the intake manifold covers and the intake manifold (see Intake Manifold Removal and Installation
).
- Disconnect the connectors from the injectors (A).

- Remove the retainer bolts (B) from the fuel rails (C) and harness holders (D), then discard the O-rings (E).
- Disconnect the fuel rails.
- Remove the injectors from the fuel rails.
- Slide new cushion rings (A) onto the injectors (B).

- Coat new O-rings (C) with clean engine oil, and put them on the injectors.
- Insert the injectors into the fuel rails (D).
- Coat new seal rings (E) with clean engine oil, and press them into the intake manifold.
- Install the fuel injectors and fuel rails into the intake manifold.
- Install and tighten the retainer bolts.
- Install the connectors on the injectors.
- Install the intake manifold and the intake manifold covers (see Intake Manifold Removal and Installation
).
- Turn the ignition switch ON (II), but do not operate the starter. After the fuel pump runs for approximately 2 seconds, the fuel pressure in the fuel line rises. Repeat this two or three times, then check for fuel leakage.
