Starter Switch Signal: S2000

  1. Depress clutch pedal. Turn ignition switch to START position. Press START button. Using backprobe set, measure voltage between PCM 32-pin connector "A" terminals No. 24 (Blue/Orange wire) and 25-pin connector "B" terminal No. 20 (Brown/Yellow wire). See PIN VOLTAGE CHARTS article. If battery voltage exists, starter switch signal is okay. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
  2. Inspect STARTER SIGNAL (7.5-amp) fuse. See STARTER SIGNAL FUSE IDENTIFICATION  table. If fuse is okay, repair open in circuit between STARTER SIGNAL (7.5-amp) fuse and PCM 32-pin connector "A" terminal No. 24. If fuse is not okay, repair short in circuit between STARTER SIGNAL (7.5-amp) fuse and PCM 32-pin connector "A" terminal No. 24 or PGM-FI connector terminal No. 2. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
