- Check fuel pressure. See BASIC DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURES article.
- Inspect throttle body for sticking and binding.
- Check for worn throttle body.
- Inspect/adjust throttle cable. See ON-VEHICLE ADJUSTMENTS article.
- Check Throttle Position (TP) sensor circuit. See appropriate Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) in appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article.
- Check intake air pipe for restrictions.
- Check air cleaner element.
- Check Three Way Catalytic Converter (TWC) for restrictions.
- Check for contaminated fuel.
