Ignition Control Module: Notes

NOTE: If MIL comes on, check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See appropriate SELF-DIAGNOSTICS article. Before performing IGNITION CONTROL MODULE INPUT TEST, ensure ignition, fuel and emissions systems are operating properly. Ignition Control Module (ICM) is located in distributor housing. See Figure-Figure .
NOTE: Manufacturer provides a series of input tests to ensure rest of system is working properly before replacing components. If all tests check ok, ICM should be replaced. If ICM is not defective on Accord and Prelude, tachometer should operate normally.
