DTC P0300: Random Misfire Detected: Notes

NOTE: If DTCs P0171, P0172, P0401, P0505, P1128, P1129, P1253, P1361, P1362, P1381, P1382, P1491, P1498 and/or P1508 are set with random misfire DTCs, trouble shoot DTCs P0300-P0304 last.

If misfiring is frequent enough to trigger detection of increased emissions during 2 consecutive driving cycles, MIL will illuminate, and DTC P0300 and some combination of DTCs P0301-P0304 will be stored in memory. If misfiring is frequent enough to damage catalyst, MIL will blink whenever misfiring occurs, and DTC P0300 and some combination of DTCs P0301-P0304 will be stored in memory. When misfiring stops, MIL will still remain on.

Test drive vehicle to verify symptom. Perform inspection and repair procedures according to symptom.
