Coolant Temperature Gauge Test: S2000
- Turn ignition off and connect scan tool to DLC. See COMPONENT LOCATIONS . Check for DTCs. If DTC P0116, P0117 or P0118 are not indicated, go to next step. If DTC P0116, P0117 or P0118 are indicated, go to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE IDENTIFICATION in SELF-DIAGNOSTICS - S2000 article and repair as required.
- Turn ignition off. Remove gauge cluster from instrument panel. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT. Backprobing, measure continuity of Yellow/Green wire between instrument cluster connector "C" (20-pin connector) terminal No. 7 and PCM connector "A" (32-pin connector) terminal No. 1. See Figure and Figure . If continuity is present, go to next step. If continuity is not present, repair open in Yellow/Green wire between instrument cluster and PCM connectors. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
- Backprobing, measure continuity of Yellow/Green wire between body ground and instrument cluster connector "C" (20-pin connector) terminal No. 7. See Figure. If continuity is present, repair short to ground in Yellow/Green wire between instrument cluster and PCM connectors. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article. If continuity is not present, replace main printed circuit board in gauge cluster.
