Park Pin Switch

  1. Remove the front console. See FRONT CONSOLE .
  2. Disconnect the park pin switch assembly connector.
  3. Shift the gearshift lever into the "P" position, then check for continuity between the park pin switch component connector No. 3 and 4 terminals. See Fig 1. There should be continuity.
  4. Shift the gearshift lever out of the "P" position, and check for continuity between the park pin switch assembly component connector No. 3 and 4 terminals. There should be no continuity.
  5. Replace park pin switch if faulty. See PARK PIN SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION.
