DTC P2610: PCM Internal Power Off Timer Performance Problem

  1. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
  2. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  3. Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.

    Is P2610 indicated? 

    YES  - Update the PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good PCM, then recheck (see PCM UPDATING AND SUBSTITUTION FOR TESTING ). If the symptom/indication goes away with a known-good PCM, replace the original PCM (see PCM REPLACEMENT  ).

    NO  - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time. Check for poor connection or loose terminals at the PCM.
