How to Substitute the PCM

How to Substitute the PCM
1. Remove the PCM from the vehicle.
2. Ins-tall a known-good PCM.
3. Turn the ignition switch ON (II).

NOTE: If DTC P0630 "VIN not Programmed or mismatch" is stored at this time ignore it and continue this procedure.

4. Input the VIN to the PCM with the HDS.
5. Rewrite the immobilizer code with the PCM replacement procedure in the HDS; it allows you to start the engine.
6. After completing your tests, install the original PCM, and rewrite the immobilizer code with the PCM replacement procedure in the HDS.
7. If you substitute a new PCM select the INSPECTION MENU with the HDS, with the original PCM installed.
8. Do the TP LEARNING CHECK in the ETCS TEST.
9. Replace the PCM, and rewrite the immobilizer code with the PCM replacement procedure in the HDS.
