Fuel Tank Replacement
- Relieve the fuel pressure (see
FUEL PRESSURE RELIEVING ).
- Drain the fuel tank (see
FUEL TANK DRAINING ), then disconnect the fuel tank unit 4P connector and the quick-connect fittings from the fuel tank unit.
- Lift the vehicle, and support it with jack stands.
- Remove the floor center cross-member stiffener (A), fuel tank cover (B), front floor cross beam (C), and tank mount bracket (D).

- Disconnect the fuel fill hose (E), fuel suction tube (F), and fuel tank vapor control valve hose (G).
- Place a jack or other support under the fuel tank (H), then remove the strap bolts (I).
- Remove the fuel tank.
- Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
