Driver's Power Window Motor Test
Motor Test
- Remove the power window master switch (see POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).
- Test the motor in each direction by connecting battery power and ground to the power window master switch 22P connector according to the table.
- If the motor does not run or fails to run smoothly, go to step 4.
- Remove the driver's door panel (see DOOR PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
- Disconnect the 6P connector (A) from the driver's power window motor (B).
- Check for continuity between the power window master switch 22P connector terminals and the driver's power window motor 6P connector terminals as shown:POWER WINDOW CONNECTOR REFERENCE CHART
Power window master switch 22P connector Driver's power window motor 6P connector 2 2 3 1 - If the wire harness is OK, replace the driver's power window motor (see POWER WINDOW MOTOR REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
).
Pulser Test
- Do the power window master switch input test for terminals No. 16, No. 17, No. 18, and No. 22 (see POWER WINDOW MASTER SWITCH INPUT TEST ).
