Injector Replacement
- Relieve the fuel pressure (see FUEL PRESSURE RELIEVING
).
- Remove the intake manifold and the intake manifold chamber (see REMOVAL
).
- Remove the quick-connect fitting cover (A), then disconnect the quick-connect fitting (B).

- Disconnect the injector connectors (C).
- Remove the fuel rail mounting nuts (D) from the fuel rail (E).
- Remove the fuel rail and the injectors from the cylinder head.
- Remove the injector clips (F) from the fuel rail.
- Remove the injectors (G) from the fuel rail.
- Coat the new O-rings (black) (A) with clean engine oil, and insert the injectors (B) into the fuel rail (C).

- Install the injector clips (D).
- Coat the new injector O-rings (brown) (E) with clean engine oil.
- Install the fuel rail and the injectors in the cylinder head (F).
- Install the fuel rail mounting nuts (G).
- Connect the injector connectors (H).
- Connect the quick-connect fitting (I) and the quick-connect fitting cover (J).
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), but do not operate the starter. After the fuel pump runs for about 2 seconds, the fuel rail is pressurized. Repeat this two or three times, then check for fuel leaks.
- Reinstall the intake manifold and the intake manifold chamber (see INSTALLATION
).
