Park Pin Switch Test

  1. Remove the center console (see CENTER CONSOLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ).
  2. Disconnect the park pin switch 2P connector (A).

  3. Check for continuity between connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2.
    • There should be continuity when the shift lever is moved out of P.
    • There should be no continuity when the shift lever is moved to P.
  4. If the park pin switch fails the test, replace the park pin switch (see PARK PIN SWITCH REPLACEMENT ).
