Engine Oil Replacement

Warm up the engine.
Remove the engine undercover.

Remove the drain bolt (A), and drain the engine oil.

Reinstall the drain bolt with a new washer (B).
Install the engine undercover.
Refill the engine with the recommended engine oil (see LUBRICANTS AND FLUIDS ).
Capacity

At Oil Change:

3.0 L (3.2 US qt)

At Oil Change Including Filter:

3.2 L (3.4 US qt)

After Engine Overhaul:

3.8 L (4.0 US qt)

Run the engine for more than 3 minutes, then check the oil level and for any oil leakage.
If the Maintenance Monitor required engine oil replacement, reset the Maintenance Minder (see ENGINE OIL LIFE INDICATOR ), and this procedure is complete. If the Maintenance Minder did not require engine oil replacement, go to next step.
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
Connect the Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) to the data link connector (DLC) (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION ).
Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and powertrain control module (PCM). If it does not communicate, troubleshoot the DLC circuit (see DLC CIRCUIT TROUBLESHOOTING ).
Select GAUGE in the BODY ELECTRICAL with the HDS.
Select ADJUSTMENT in GAUGE MENU with the HDS.
Select RESET in the MAINTENANCE MINDER with the HDS.
Select RESETTING THE ENGINE OIL LIFE with the HDS.
