DTC U1204 (55): IMA-CAN Malfunction (Powertrain Control Module (PCM) - Motor Control Module (MCM)): General Description

The integrated motor assist-controller area network (IMA-CAN) transmits/receives pulsing signals to/from the control modules simultaneously by using two signal lines (IMACANH and IMACANL). When the battery control processor in the motor control module (MCM) does not receive the signals from the powertrain control module (PCM) via the IMA-CAN lines for a set time, or the received data is abnormal for a specified cycle, a malfunction is detected and a DTC is stored.
