Fuel Tank Unit Removal and Installation: Removal
- Relieve the fuel pressure (see FUEL PRESSURE RELIEVING
).
- Remove the rear tray (see step 1 on
TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION - REAR TRAY AREA
).
- Remove the access panel (A) from the floor.

- Disconnect the fuel tank unit 4P connector (B).
- Disconnect the quick-connect fittings (C) from the fuel tank unit (see FUEL LINE/QUICK-CONNECT FITTING REMOVAL
).
- Using the special tool, loosen the locknut (A).

- Remove the locknut (A), the locknut plate (B), and the fuel tank unit (C).
