PCV Valve Inspection
- Check the PCV valve (A), the hoses (B), the pipe (C), and the connections for leaks or restrictions.
- At idle, listen to the PCV valve (A) with a stethoscope (B) or a flat-tip head screwdriver (at the breather cover notch (C)) as you lightly pinch the PCV hose (D) with your fingers or pliers several times. Each time the hose is pinched, the valve should click.
If there is no clicking sound, replace the PCV valve (see PCV VALVE REPLACEMENT ) and recheck.
