DTC P0602: Motor Control Module (MCM) Programming Error; DTC P0602: Motor Control Module (MCM) Program Not Installed (Battery Condition Monitor Program)

NOTE:
  • Before you troubleshoot, record all freeze data, and any on-board snapshot, and review the general troubleshooting information (see GENERAL TROUBLESHOOTING INFORMATION  ).
  • This DTC is indicated when an MCM update is not completed.
  • Do not turn the ignition switch to ACCESSORY (I) or to LOCK (0) while updating the MCM. If you do, the MCM can be damaged.
  • If the DTC cannot be cleared, do the troubleshooting for DTC U1204.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  2. Clear the DTC with the HDS (see DTC CLEAR  ).
  3. Do the MCM update procedure (see MOTOR CONTROL MODULE (MCM) UPDATE  ).
  4. Check for Pending or Confirmed DTCs with the HDS.

    Is DTC P0602 indicated? 

    YES  -Replace the original MCM (see IPU CASE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  ), then go to step  1.

    NO  -Troubleshooting is complete. If any other Pending or Confirmed DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC'S TROUBLESHOOTING .
