DTC P0BFD (30): Motor Current Sensor Circuit Malfunction: General Description
The motor control module (MCM) controls the IMA motor output based on the signal from the phase motor current sensors. When the motor current sensors malfunction, the output torque of the IMA motor may not be able to be controlled normally. The MCM monitors the sum of the three-phase current (IUPH, IVPH, and IWPH) sensors at regular intervals, and when it deviates from the permissible range (-50 A to +50 A), 10 is added to the counter. Conversely, when it is in the permissible range, 1 is subtracted from the counter. When the counter exceeds a specified amount, a malfunction of the phase motor current sensor is detected and a DTC is stored.
