DTC U1204 (55): IMA-CAN Malfunction (Powertrain Control Module (PCM) - Motor Control Module (MCM)): General Description

The integrated motor assist-controller area network (IMA-CAN) transmits/receives pulsing signals to/from the control modules simultaneously by using two signal lines (IMACAN H and IMACAN L). When the information is not sent from the powertrain control module (PCM) via the IMA-CAN lines and this condition continues for a specified time or when the information sent from the PCM is abnormal and this condition continues for a specified cycle, the motor control module (MCM) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
