DTC U1205: IMA-CAN Malfunction (Powertrain Control Module (PCM)-Motor Control Module (MCM)): General Description

The integrated motor assist-controller area network (IMA-CAN) transmits/receives pulsing signals to/from the control modules simultaneously by using two signal lines (IMACAN H and IMACAN L). When the information is not sent from the motor control module (MCM) via the IMA-CAN lines and this condition continues for a specified time or when the information sent from the MCM is abnormal and this condition continues for a specified cycle, the powertrain control module (PCM) detects a malfunction and stores a DTC.
