REVISION SUMMARY

Under TOOLS AVAILABLE FOR LOAN, a tool was added.

PURPOSE

The Special Tool Loan Program helps you service vehicles by making available special tools that are needed only occasionally, or that are no longer available.
Not all special tools are in this program; generally, only the tools listed in this service bulletin are available. Other tools may be available; check with the Honda Tool and Equipment Program at 1-888-424-6857 . This program is not a substitute for your required tools.

HOW THIS PROGRAM WORKS

To request the loan of a special tool, call the Honda Tool and Equipment Program at 1-888-424-6857 . Make sure the required service parts are available before you place your request.

Tool requests must be made by the parts or service manager, or someone within your dealership with the authority to charge to the balance forward account.
We will notify your dealership about the availability of the requested tools.

Tools requested before 4:00 p.m. Central Time will be shipped to your dealership that day or by your requested need-by date. Any tools requested after 4:00 p.m. will be shipped to your dealership on the following business day.

Tools may be borrowed for a maximum of 3 working days. The tool loan fee is $50.00 (for up to three tools) plus the shipping costs to your dealership. You are responsible for the return shipping.

The OTC 6525 Smoke Machine loan fee is $100.00 plus the shipping costs to and from your dealership.

NOTE: If you need to borrow tools for longer than 3 working days, be sure to contact the Honda Tool and Equipment Program at 800-824-9655 . Your dealership will be charged $15.00 per day for tools, and $35.00 per day for the OTC 6525 Smoke Machine for the additional loan time.

Attention: Tool Loan

When returning the smoke machine, make sure to use the preprinted return shipping document included in its shipping container.

If everything is in order, your dealership's balance forward account will be billed for only the tool loan and shipping fees. If a borrowed tool is not returned within 10 days, the dealer net cost of the item, the loan fee, and shipping will be billed to your dealership. All tools will be inspected for damage and missing parts.

If any of the borrowed tools require repair, are lost, or are damaged beyond repair, your dealership will be billed for the repair and/or replacement cost, in addition to the loan and shipping fees.
