CVTF Filter Replacement
- Remove the splash shield (see
SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT
).
- Remove the drain plug (A), and drain the CVT fluid (CVTF).

- Reinstall the drain plug and a new sealing washer (B).
NOTE:
- Remove metal particles from the magnetic surface of the drain plug.
- If a cooler cleaning is necessary, refer to the CVTF COOLER CLEANING .
- Disconnect the CVTF cooler hoses (A) from the CVTF filter (B).

- Remove the bolt securing the CVTF filter holder (C), and remove the CVTF filter.
- Slide the CVTF cooler hose on the CVTF filter until the hose end contacts the filter housing, and secure the hose with the clip (D) at 6-8 mm (0.24-0.31 in) from the filter housing. Install the cooler hose on the other side of the CVTF filter in the same manner.
- Secure the new CVTF filter on its bracket (E) with the CVTF filter holder and the bolt.
- Refill the transmission with CVTF to the proper level (see step 8).
