Front Seat Frame Replacement

Special Tools Required 

KTC Trim Tool Set SOJATP2014*

*Available through the Honda Tool and Equipment Program; call 888-424-6857

SRS Components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations (see COMPONENT LOCATION INDEX ) and the precautions and procedures (see PRECAUTIONS AND PROCEDURES ) before doing repairs or service.

NOTE:
  • If the side airbag has deployed, replace the seat frame and related parts with new ones (see COMPONENT REPLACEMENT/INSPECTION AFTER DEPLOYMENT ).
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to tear or damage the seat covers.
  • Use the appropriate tool from the KTC trim tool set to avoid damage when removing components.
  1. Remove the front seat (see FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION  ).
  2. Remove these items:
  3. Driver's seat: Detach the clips (A, B), then remove the outer cover (C).

  4. Driver's seat: Detach the clip, then remove the upper rail inner cover (A).

  5. Remove the screw. Detach the clips, then remove the riser cover (A).

  6. Remove the recline inner cover (A) and the center inner cover (B) from the seat frame (C).

  7. Install the seat frame in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • If the clip is damaged or stress-whitened, replace it with a new one.
    • Push the clips into place securely.
