One of these conditions is met for at least 3.0 second:

• The registration of the EGR valve fully closed position is not completed within a predetermined time after the registration start of the EGR valve fully closed position.
• The registered value of the EGR valve fully closed position is 2.36 mm or more, -2.11 mm or less.
