DTC B1075 : Headlight Switch Malfunction
NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A .

DTC (Relay Control Module)
- Problem verification
-1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
-2. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode and then the ON mode.
-3. Turn the combination light switch to the ON position.
-4. Wait for at least 6 seconds.
-5. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
DTC Description DTC B1075 Headlight switch malfunction Is DTC B1075 indicated?
YES
Go to step 2.
NO
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
- DTC check
-1. Check for body control module and relay control module DTCs with the HDS.
Body Control Module
DTC Description DTC B1275 Head light OFF position Circuit Malfunction B1276 Headlight Switch Parking (Small) Position Circuit Malfunction B1277 Head light AUTO position Circuit Malfunction B1278 Head light ON position Circuit Malfunction Relay Control Module
DTC Description DTC B1080 Power supply circuit (IG1 line) input error for Relay Control Module and MICU Are any DTCs indicated?
YES
Go to indicated DTCs troubleshooting.
NO
Go to step 3.
- Relay control module H/L ON SW line check 1
-1. Turn the combination light switch to the OFF position.
-2. Check the parameter (s) below with the HDS.
Signal Current conditions Values Unit Headlight Switch (BACK-UP) Is the information indicator OFF?
YES
Go to step 4.
NO
Go to step 6.
- Relay control module H/L ON SW line check 2
-1. Turn the combination light switch to the ON position.
-2. Check the parameter (s) below with the HDS.
Signal Current conditions Values Unit Headlight Switch (BACK-UP) Is the information indicator ON?
YES
Replace the relay control module .
NO
Go to step 5.
- Open wire check (H/L ON SW line)
-1. Connect terminals A and B with a jumper wire.
Terminal A Relay control module connector C (18P) No. 10 Terminal B Body ground -2. Check the parameter (s) below with the HDS.
Signal Current conditions Values Unit Headlight Switch (BACK-UP) Is the information indicator ON?
YES
Repair an open or high resistance in the wire.
NO
- Shorted wire check (H/L ON SW line)
-1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.
-2. Disconnect the following connectors.
Combination light switch 12P connector
Relay control module connector C (18P)-3. Check for continuity between test points 1 and 2.
Test condition Vehicle OFF (LOCK) mode
Combination light switch 12P connector: disconnected
Relay control module connector C (18P): disconnectedTest point 1 Relay control module connector C (18P) No. 10 Test point 2 Body ground Is there continuity?
YES
Repair a short to ground in the wire.
NO
