Engine Support Hanger Installation: Installation

NOTE:  When removing transmission: Special tool engine support hanger AAR-T1256 must be used with the side engine mount installed.

Detailed information, notes, and precautions
*1 When removing engine
  1. Vehicle - Lift
  2. 12 Volt Battery Terminal - Disconnect
  3. Front Wheel - Remove
  4. Engine Coolant - Drain - Refer to: Coolant Check () or Coolant Replacement ()
  5. Cowl Cover - Remove
  6. Front Grille Cover - Remove
  7. Air Cleaner Area Parts - Remove
  8. Harness Bdacket - Remove

  9. Front Engine Harness Heat Insulator - Remove (When Removing Engine)
  10. A/C Condenser Fan Shroud Assembly - Remove (When Removing Engine)
  11. Alternator - Remove (When Removing Engine)
  12. Engine Support Hanger - Install

    NOTICE:  

    • Be careful when working around the windshield.
    • Two sets of AAR-T1256 are required for stacking an additional cross bar.
    • Be careful not to damage the hood opener cable when installing the engine support hanger at the front bulkhead.

    1. Install the engine hanger balance bar. Attach the front arm (a) and the rear arm (b).

    2. Install the engine support hanger and the extra arm kit onto the vehicle as shown.

    3. Attach the hook (e) to the slotted hole in the engine hanger balance bar.

    4. Tighten the wing nut (f) by hand to support the engine/transmission.
