Preconditions
- Air Cleaner Area Parts Removed
- Air Cleaner Housing
Procedure/Specifications
- Check the PCV valve (a), the PCV hose (b), the breather tubes (c), and their connections for leaks or restrictions.
NOTE: If necessary, remove them and check.
Specifications

- If it is abnormal, repair or replace parts as needed.

- PCV Valve - Idle Inspect
Preconditions
- "PCV Valve - Visual Inspect" is completed and has tested normal.
- Air Cleaner Area Parts Removed
- Air Cleaner Housing
Procedure/Specifications
1. Start the engine.
2. At idle, make sure there is a clicking sound from the PCV valve (a) when the hose (b) between the PCV chamber and the intake manifold is lightly pinched with your fingers or pliers.

- If it is abnormal, check the O-rings of the PCV valve for cracks or damage. If they are OK, replace the PCV valve and recheck.
